Ms. Hughes has a marketing and administrative background that spans over 20 years. She has extensive experience in office management and client support, and began her career at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc in 1989 as one of two original employees who worked on the start-up of the company\'s regional sports network - SportSouth Network. Hughes played a key role in all aspects of building what eventually became the third largest and one of the most profitable regional sports networks in the U.S. She led all marketing efforts for the network, which included the creation and execution of all promotional and advertising campaigns as well as affiliate relations support. Hughes ended her tenure at SportSouth (then known as FOX Sports Net South) as Director of Marketing.
Ms. Hughes has since worked with many diverse businesses in office management capacities, with oversight of event planning, accounts payable/receivable and human resources. She has worked for Cygnus Business Media, a business-to-business media company which built and acquired magazines, trade shows and web sites. Ms. Hughes also spent time creating and running the accounting and human resources departments of Vertical Capital, LLC, an asset-backed securities management company. She also held a similar role for International Coke Holdings, LLC, a coal importing business.
Most recently, Ms. Hughes has worked for Endurance Business Media, an online real estate and magazine company. She has considerable experience in all aspects of office management and client support.
Ms. Hughes is a graduate of University of Maryland College Park with a B.A. degree in Communications.
